Following My Mom’s Footsteps
My Mom graduated from Syracuse with a major in Communications in 1984. My mom has always been my biggest inspiration and mentor in my life. She pointed me towards Communications after I told her I wanted more than just my English major.
Presentation Skills
Over the summer, the interns and I created and presented the summer’s revenue to the Seaav team. My experience with presentation creation and presentation preparation prepared me well for this task at work.
Public Speaking
Public speaking has never really been a fear of mine; however, just because I wasn’t afraid didn’t mean I was necessarily a good public speaker.
Teamwork
I have always enjoyed being a part of a team, ever since I joined my middle school’s field hockey and basketball teams. Playing field hockey and basketball throughout middle and high school, I was primarily focused on myself as an individual player. However, after being elected captain of my field hockey team, I realized that each player contributes something different and important to the team, which makes it function as a whole.
